Design Notes From High Point Market

Each season, High Point Market offers a unique opportunity to reconnect - with the design community, with fresh inspiration and with the ever-evolving vision of my own collections. This spring’s trip was no exception. From showroom walk-throughs to late-night conversations with fellow creatives, market always leaves me feeling both grounded in our design roots and excited for what’s ahead.

Over the past few markets, I’ve noticed a clear shift toward more traditional, vintage-inspired design, something that resonates deeply with our style. From charming pleats and scalloped edges to thoughtful trimmings, the details continue to inspire.

Each market brings new inspiration, and this season didn’t disappoint. Here are a few trends that stood out:

  • Colorful Furniture — Green dining tables and custom-painted frames are having a moment (Both Woodbridge and CR Laine can match any Benjamin Moore hue!).

  • Feminine Details — Scallops, pleats, ruffles, and contrast welt continue to lead - proof that traditional charm is here to stay.

  • Natural vs. Performance — Cleanable fabrics remain essential, but we’re seeing a rise in natural materials like linen, wool and cotton - perfect for clients seeking a more organic home.

As always, I came home full of gratitude — for the talented partners we get to work with, for the community that supports our vision, and for the ever-inspiring world of design that keeps pushing us forward. I can’t wait to bring this season’s energy into the projects and pieces ahead!
